KRISTEN GIOSCIA, AMFT

I’ve always been fascinated by people. Why we react the way we do. Why we keep repeating patterns that no longer serve us. Why some experiences stay with us long after they’ve ended, while others shape us in ways we don’t even realize.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly a decade working in marketing, helping brands understand human behavior and what motivates people. Over time, I realized I was much more interested in understanding the people behind the decisions than the decisions themselves. That curiosity ultimately led me back to graduate school to become a therapist.

Today, I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the overwhelming feeling of trying to keep everything together. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who spend so much energy taking care of everyone else that they’ve lost touch with themselves. Others feel stuck in patterns they understand intellectually but can’t seem to change.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy should help you understand why you’re feeling the way you do while also giving you tools that make life outside of session feel more manageable. Together we’ll explore your relationships, your nervous system, your thought patterns, and the experiences that have shaped you, so you can respond to life with more confidence instead of constantly reacting from survival mode.

I draw from Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and nervous system-informed interventions, but I don’t believe therapy should feel overly clinical or full of jargon. My goal is to make psychology approachable, relevant, and something you can actually use in your everyday life.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, struggling in relationships, questioning your next chapter, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, I hope therapy becomes a place where you can exhale, make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and leave feeling a little more grounded than when you walked in. My goal isn’t to change who you are. It’s to help you understand yourself well enough that you can stop fighting against yourself and start living in a way that feels more grounded, connected, and true to you.
